It's light enough for long approaches and has a supple feel for great handling. 9.8mm diameter and a weight of 62g per meter makes the Boa rope a great choice for climbs that require a long approach as well as sport cragging. Thermo Shield treatment consists of a heat process to stabilize individual yarns, ensuring the rope stays supple throughout its working lifetime. Setting up a rappel? You can see, ataglance, the middle of the rope thanks to the DuoTec distinct sheath pattern. This DuoTec bicolor marking is easily visible from a variety of angles and enhances rope management. Kernmantle design features a stretchy core protected by a durable outer sheath which combine for strength and good handling. Great for clean, single pitches but frayed really quickly. Wouldn't take it up on a multi pitch climb again, or anywhere where rope drag is a concern, just doesn't have that kind of durability. But in terms of a really easy to handle, relatively lightweight rope, this one is a great value if you don't wear it into the ground (literally on sandstone and desert climbs).
